Welcome!

Welcome to Mural Makers online discussion! The rules are simple. For each post, you are expected to read links and make a comment. Your comments need to have some thought to them-a one word response is not enough. After we have blogged together, we will have a class discussion out loud where we elaborate on our online comments. Enjoy! -Mrs. P

Mrs. P, I am so excited to start blogging with your class. I am sure that your students will have insightful things to say about art and they will share their knowledge with the world.
I think that it is a good sence of mind to try to come together, black and white, rich and poor. It shows the personality of one and their thoughts. By using a bridge to come together there is less of negativity and more happiness. It is of only a wise and brilliant mind to try until success is earned.
Dear mrs.p I am so glad you picked your fith grade to do bloging. I am glad I got to be in this focus area . i love your class very much
Dear mrs p I love being in your art class. Your class is so fun because I love to paint.I love your focus area because your class is fun.

Dear Mrs.P, This is a very fun focus area. I think that the conn people are going to be very hard to paint. I remember that you said that you had some skinny brushes at your house. would it be possible for you to bring them?
I am so exited to be blogging in front of the camera! I remember I did this with MRS.Hanley while we were doing landforms in modules. It was so much fun! It is also going to be exiting when we do it with MRS.Philips.!
Mrs P. I think this website is a good website for kids so that they can talk to each other about good things.
In responce to AG, I wonder if there is any symbolism in a “bridge” connecting people and ideas?
Thank you for choosing Me for being in your fouces area
I hope we all get along with each other and hope we have a great time
Thanks for picking me to be in your focus area. I remember when I was in AG and we did the same thing for landforms. Anyway, thanks Mrs. P.
Dear mrs.P I am exited to be in this focous area and having the freadom to type to other kids in this focous online on a blog.
I think building a bridge between a cominity of differint races is a very good idea.It can change peoples opinion of people that are not like them.
I agree with mp. I like this focus area a lot. I am also glad to be in this focus area too. The murals are going to be great when we get them on the wall. Thanks Mrs. P
Dear Ms.p,
i cant beleve that you let us go on the computer and type on this site. And even though that its my first year here I get to help make a mural. For the whole school to see for a long time. Plus at my old school they would never let me go on the computer at art time. What i really like though is that my old school we never painted murals. Im really glad i going to Conn
I reely liked your focus area. you are a great teacher ms.P. I learned that you can be an artist that is what I want to be when I grow up. I like art because it is fun. The best part about art is that you feel like you are famouse. I think people should be an artest because you can draw, paint, and skech what ever you made. I also learned that art is studing also.
Dear Mrs. P, I went to the bridge website and that bridge was amazing. I wonder how long it took them to make it. I think it could end up being a landmark…who knows!
Dear AG I am not excited to be typing in front of a camera because I am scared. I have also do remember doing this with Mrs.hanley but we did not get to do this much.
I am sooooooooooo excited to do this online discussion,I have elaborated and made comments on a bunch of spectacular comments! It is interesting and I get open my mind freely! I finally get to show everyone what I think! Thanks Mrs.P!
thanks for chosing me in your art class agin Mrs.P THIS CLASS ROCKS From:TA
Dear Mrs.p,
I was just looking at the brige painting. Did you know that it took 4.3 hours just to make 1 stone! Thats a long time for gust to make 1 stone. I never knew that people could paint so realistic. Wouldent it be cool if you could paint like that. Im serious I really thought it was a picture. If they haddent said at the bottem of the “painting “I bet you that all most everyone would think it was a picture. by the way did they have a pictuer when they started to paint? where all the painters friends? did any one “drop out” durring the making of the painting? where is the painting today? well I cant think of any thing more to say…
I think your art class is the best because we always get to do somthing that other classes dont and we always have fun doing that art project and I think its so asome we are getting filmed!I cant wait till we all get to see the video!
I feel very inprest that it took 4 hours 3 min to make one tile. I think they are 2,200 tiles in just one bridge. I love the art work. I also like how they put the stars and the other creathons. I think each tile stands a story. For example the stare tile might be about saluting our contre. If I was their I would take as many picturs until my film runs out. Then I whould send them to my dad and leave a e-mail that says “I am at the community brige the veiw is wonder full I hop you were here”,from your son Alp Ozgunduz. If I were one of the builders I whould creat a tile that represent the place i was born, Tukey. I am reely intrested in the bridge because the bridge use to be very boring but then people made decoration on the bridge. Also kids made decorations on the brige just to be invoved………I think. I can tell that the people(including kids) made the ideas by just looking at the color of the bridge. Well that is all I have in my head thank you for reading my coment.
Ms. P and 5th Grade Art Students, Congratulations on your blog and on beginning your work on the murals. It will be exciting to watch you work and to see your final product. I look forward to reading more on your blog!
Dear Ms P.,We are very impressed with your teaching method using blog to maximize kids understanding of the art piece.
We are Alp’s grandma and grandpa. We came school to see this exciting project. We are 70 years old.(more or less:)) It is amazing for us to observe, the difference between education tools in our times vs. our grandsons.
Great job.
