Trophe L’Oiel Painting
December 3rd, 2007
All of the images painted on the bridge are nothing more than paint on stone, but they look like three-dimensional sculptures, plants, and animals. Take a look at the link to the bridge’s features. What feature do you think is the most impressive and why?

I think the door speaks for itself, the bridge is beautiful, physically and mentally. While it is beautiful and historic on the outside,it has a magical mind of it’s own on the inside.Without any words at all it speaks of everything, the most horrid thing it passed through since it was born, to the most amazing things ever.On this one, the looks say it all!
I think the most impressive part of the painting is how the colors and lines make it look real.he curved his lines just how a normal stone would look and his plant looks so real because it is not just one solid color it is many colors because no plant is one color
Why do you think the artist chose the door, statue, fountain, and angel for this project? What meaning might they have?
I think this painting is very detailed and probably took a very skilled person to make. The most fastenating part to me is the fountain. It looks like the birds are actually on the fountain. The marks in the stone is like it would really be in a fountain from a long time ago. The plant looks like something i could touch it looks so realistic. The shape of the leaves is icreadible because each one is differint!!
I agree with AG agian about the door and the bridge because they are both really asome!
Dear mrs.p,
One summer day some boy’s were helping the working men. then the boy’s help work then they drink.
Dear mrs.p,
I like the art work it is pretty. The stones it pretty
I think the unfound door is so cool because it blooks so real but is not realitic is just a mirror because sometimes birds try to get in but they cant.
Dear Mrs. P, That water fountain looks so life like. It’s feels like I’m in either a 3D movie or I’m in real life. The door looks so beautiful. I wonder if the people who painted the pictures were expressing their feelings, doing a job, or doing it because of both. I hope the Community Bridge can become a very, very knowfull landmark in the future.
I have so much to say abuot this paniting. At first I thought this panting was a picture of a place but the I read about it and it said that this is only a painting. I did could not belive that this was a painting. If it realy is a paintig then this is the best one I have ever seen in my life. I have always wished that I could draw and make it look real. I am an exelent drawer but I want it to look real. I bet that he was thinking the same thing when he was a kid but he keeped practicing and practicing until he got it like he wanted it to be. he must of had good Pacients witch I dont have.
How about that!Hey,mr.L’Oiel,I just want to say that the bridge looks phenominal!I didn’t know such a BEAUTIFUL thing existed. They must have sprinkled five pounds of fairy dust on it to make it look so pretty.Say cheese and take a pic!
Desr Mrs. P,
I saw the painting of the woman in the frame. When you look at it from the side, it looks like it is coming out of its frame. It reminds me of the Mona Lisa painting a little bit.
