Even though they are just medallions,they speak of the past and future.They show the hopes of people and what will become of earth.To someone normal,it would just look like a stupid wore down medallion,but the truth is,it’s hard to make something as pure as something real,inside and out!
I think the best medallion was the clasped hands because lots (125) people had town spirt no matter they were white,black,poor,or rich they still all had town spirt.
These madalians are really cool. I like the idea of a bridge. It must have been hard to make such a bridge. I think the clapped hands madalion is for how when the bridge was made and when everybody short, tall, rich and poor joined hands for the first time. I think it also represents how people helped each other and joined in a community.
I would like respond to RRC’s comment about how the hands symbolize the meaning of why the bridge project was made. What do you guys think the purpose of public art should be? (Public art means art that is made for a shared space in a community.)
I agree with rrc about hands along with my comment too because it might have connected the rich and poor for the first time like rrc said.
I think that this medallian shows two hands togeather. So in other words what that means to me is that the earth would not be togaether if every body did not join hands and help each other. Also the world is held up when every body is togeather. Like to day in two thousand and seven we are haveing a drout and also nottice that threre has been a lot of deaths so that means that the world is let going of each others hands.
